Until the establishment of the brand
From my great-grandfather to my grandfather's generation, I was a leather bag craftsman, and from an early age I was very familiar with manufacturing, painting, and leather itself. After gaining experience in the fashion industry and the publishing industry, I worked in design-related work for a long time, working with traditional industries handed down from the Edo period, craftsmen representing Japan, and contemporary artists who are active both domestically and internationally. I had the opportunity to do so. Those encounters and experiences significantly changed my previous awareness of “manufacturing.”
Nowadays, products that are conscious of trends and that emphasize simplicity are being created one after another, and mechanization has become commonplace. I was impressed by the attitude of the craftsmen, who inherit traditional materials and techniques while also taking on new challenges, and approach manufacturing every day with an insatiable spirit of inquiry.I also wanted to make things with my own hands from scratch. I thought so strongly. There, I learned the basics of leather carving, which I had been interested in since then, and began my life facing leather.
In the process, I met my beloved dog, and my desire to create something special for him, who is an important member of my family, led me to found STEELO-rkleather.
Respect the material called leather
All the leather products we use are made from leather that is a byproduct of the meat processing process. With a sense of respect for these animals, we breathe new life into them as ``one-of-a-kind leather items,'' and hope that they will carve their daily history with the user as they age. We named it ``STEELO-'' which has a meaning.

We believe that the technical strength of each production process is of utmost importance in order to create items that place an emphasis on dignity and durability so that the user can cherish them for many years to come. STEELO-rkleather offers "full custom-made" products that pursue designs tailored to the user, "hand-dyed" methods that make the most of the expression of genuine leather, and the beauty of stitches that cannot be achieved with a sewing machine, even when threads break. We are particular about hand-stitching, which is durable and will not fray, and we put a lot of thought into each piece.
Although it takes time to produce and cannot be mass-produced, we strive to improve our technology every day, down to the invisible details, so that we can add richness to the everyday lives of our users.
